'This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.' Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.
Mark 10:7-9
The Marriage Ministry at Lifepoint seeks to partner with couples to help strengthen marriages through conferences, groups, events, and mentoring.
Investing in healthy marriages means that we desire to be involved in every stage and season of your marriage - from beginning to consider marriage to considering divorce. We want to walk alongside through the ups and downs, the simple tune-ups and the significant overhauls.
Your next step for all of the above is to submit a Care Request Form and to have an initial conversation with our Freedom & Care Ministry. We will help discern the best next steps for you and your relationship; some of which are listed below.
Because we believe that marriage is important, we believe that preparing for marriage is important. Pre-marriage Counseling is a process that we require if anyone desires Lifepoint to officiate the wedding yet is something we recommend period - even for those who are not yet engaged. If the relationship is not ready for marriage and if there are irreconcilable differences, we want to help you discover that sooner than later.
We provide The Gottman Relationship Builder as a gift for those who have completed the Pre-Marriage Counseling process. This is a collection of exercises and videos designed to improve your relationship and keep helpful skills fresh. This powerful system of proven interventions includes 13 modules that cover all facets of the Gottman Method: friendship, intimacy, how well you know your partner, how you manage emotions and conflict, how you share your values and goals, and what gives meaning to your lives. We believe these 35 easy and fun exercises that you can do with your partner will help maintain a healthy marriage.
We are very excited to offer marriage mentoring for couples who wish to strengthen their marriages through in-person mentoring. Mentoring is not counseling. It is a set number of meetings in which a mentor couple will disciple a mentee couple by walking them through tools to help resolve conflict in a Biblical and effective way.
At Lifepoint, Groups include any gathering that is smaller than Sunday morning and meets at least monthly. Are you interested in knowing what kind of groups are happening in our Marriage Ministry?
